The Challenge

In seeking to implement recommendations of a mission done in collaboration with the Commonwealth.

Secretariat in St Vincent and the Grenadines, the COL engaged GCA to support the Ministry of Education in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines in the implementation of the information and communication technology (ICT) professional development strategy for educators.

The Solution

Over a period of 20 days, on location in Kingstown, Saint Vincent, work was done in order to deliver the following:

  1. an ICT Professional Development Implementation Plan for Educators in St Vincent and the Grenadines;
  2. a Mentor Support Programme for Education Officers;
  3. a Basic ICT Readiness Observation Checklist & Evaluation Report*;
  4. a framework for ICT integration course for principals (based on the Commonwealth Certificate for Teacher ICT Integration programme);
  5. documentation for teacher training workshops.

*This assessment package is now included in the ICT in Education - Teachers' Professional Development Toolkit.
